How it works
WellSentinel™ provides passive monitoring by gathering and physically detecting specific gas and/or fluid material in the subsea marine environment that escapes during a loss of containment (LoC).
A gathering system directs escaped material onto our proprietary trigger mechanism housed within the system. Detection of this material begins the alert sequence, mechanically degrading the trigger.
The system’s trigger mechanism can be configured to react with a range of materials.
- Gas – Our gas triggers are set to typical natural gas (C1 – C5)
- Oil/Multiphase flow – Our hydrocarbon triggers are set to react with well-based fluid and gas
- CO2 - Set to react to CO2, for use in CCS fields and infrastructure
- Tracer – Our tiggers can be set to react with out fluid tracer (SWIFT), this is sealed in the well during shut in or suspension
